Necropoli 100 Camere e Pianezze
One of the most interesting places in Lazio, the fifth largest volcanic lake in Italy. It is home to a number of wonderful sites and locations surrounding the lake, most of which is breathtaking.
A few minutes away from the Parco dei Mostri, a mysterious Etruscan pyramid rises in a wooded area. The site is also rich in finds dating back to the prehistoric period. It can be reached by numerous paths, running along caves carved into megalithic rocks, altars, places of worship, and even an early Christian cemetery. An incredible experience.
A couple of paths that we love to walk directly from the Podere, mapped for you. The Elephas Antiquus site houses the remains of a 750,000-year-old elephant. Ask these guys to open the gate for you and visit the site.
Volcanic lake with very clear waters. Cool off from the summer heat in its water, explore the paths that surround it or enjoy the sunset while indulging in aperitivo and dinner on its shores.
The Borgo Diffuso di San Michele organises guided group tours through the beautiful surroundings, worth checking. For more experienced trekkers, the Valle di Civita offers a network of spectacular routes. Or check the Via Francigena.
